Well, I’m at the ‘Red Zone’, a zone that’s literally in grave risk! At the 3rd of November 2020, the Italian government has given new’anti-Covid-19′ limitations, like curfews and closures, which are vital in the Red Zone. These restrictions apply to citizens, tourists, and non-citizen permanent inhabitants. It surprised most people when they got the information suddenly on TV a couple of days ago.

Red zone

Naturally, I shared the information that we were at the Red Zone with my buddies who were to be affected by the function. We are in exactly the exact same boat, meaning that we can’t move in or from the Red Zone with no self-certification declaring that we’re going from the area to get a necessity. Moreover, nobody can travel out of their legal municipality without self-certified motives of health, work, and absolute necessity, they will need to present to the authorities if stopped.

For now, everything looks about the exact outside in the countryside, and I’ve had a couple of chances to snap a few serene photographs of Italy! Nevertheless, there will not be many people dancing and singing on balconies this time around. Most individuals are positive about the limitations nor expecting that they’ll be adequate. Instead, small businesses fear for their survival in such difficult times. I’ve discovered a few conspiracy theories, like the one that asserts these lockdowns exist to help the authorities get more control over its occupants.

O que está a acontecer?

A handful considers that God is making things right with a deep reason behind’His’ work. Most Italians were optimistic during the first lockdown, having believed that’everything would have been fine’. Having been disappointed, many have been proactive in protests. Over the last few weeks, there have been various rallies by a huge selection of groups that insist that they should have the liberty to go outside without masks and the government need not take a strict lockdown.

Lembre-se

There are three degrees of urgency represented by three distinct zones: Yellow, Orange, and Red–red being the worst. Naturally, I’m in red! At this time, gyms, theaters, cinemas, museums, and swimming pools are closed. While middle schools and elementary schools are available, all for-profit colleges will need to conduct lessons online before the 3rd of December, something for which many Italian schools aren’t prepared. Restaurants and pubs in the Red Zone can only serve food and beverage by shipping, and the curfew runs daily from 10 p.m.

Merchants assert that these closures (from the Red Zone) undermine the survival of small companies. Many small shops, on the verge of failure before the next lockdown, have loans and costly monthly rent to cover. They need to know how they can pay their bills if they’re not earning any cash while being ordered to lock their doors. Furthermore, Italian entertainers in the lower echelons have complained about not having the ability to make enough money without producing live concerts and shows, one reason why some high entertainers with excellent financial means have suggested making contributions to help their less-fortunate coworkers.

Italian Health System

At this moment, the Italian Health System (Sistema Sanitario) is strained. On TV this day, I saw reports of churches full of a great deal of beds anticipating Covid-19 patients. Although Italian hospitals are trying to find additional medical staff, they generally only provide temporary (six-month) contracts. This makes me ask if medical staff are reluctant to put their lives online without job security later. It appears that if the instances keep on increasing, there’ll be no more room for patients in hospitals.

Because of this, doctors are paying more visits to the homes of the elderly in need. Fewer individuals with thyroid disorders are being treated, and it is worrisome that individuals with suspicions of cancer and heart attack are often reluctant to go to a hospital for fear of catching the coronavirus or taking attention away from seriously ill patients. Longevity in Italy is now under attack by the evil coronavirus. Sick patients are being sent home early because that there’s neither room nor security from the coronavirus at a few hospitals. This means that households are having to present in-home services for their older family members when, in regular times, more travelling nurses and physicians would have been available.

Note this

I inquired about getting a flu shot just to discover I needed to have a preexisting illness to qualify for one if I had been under 60.) This year, there’s a shortage of flu shots, but it’s believed that if residents wear more masks, they’ll be less likely to acquire the frequent flu. Interestingly, before the introduction of the pandemic, most Italians were opposed to flu shots, but recently, those anti-vaccine activists are silent. Covid-19 is onerous! It’s a killer to be taken seriously. From what I can see, Italians over 60 are generally a bit more diligent about wearing masks correctly at all times when they leave the home.

While younger Italians are more inclined to go around without masks, there’s a majority that wears masks to protect others, especially when they’ve older grandparents at home. To go around Italy, one wants to wear a mask at all times and wash one’s hands frequently, while avoiding touching the face! There are enough men and women who do not take the virus so guests and tourists will need to keep an eye out for themselves. Masks are proven, after all, to offer defense wherever you’re. Finding delightful food to prepare at home hasn’t been a problem since the shops are well stocked. One can still have a terrific time in Italy, although I would advise sojourning in a house with a lawn or balcony in the event the constraints get worse. Somebody can deliver meals, or you also may consider shopping (while wearing protective masks) once per week in a nearby grocery store if there are not crowds.

Conclusão

By refraining from too much shopping in shops, people living in Italy effectively protect themselves from exposure. This is an exceptional time to enjoy healthful Italian foods that fortify the immunity system. Italian and visitors residents will benefit from a huge selection of fruit and vegetables in addition to other fresh food that is part of the traditional Mediterranean diet. The online-aperitif (i.e. prescheduled on Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, etc.) now substitutes for the world-renowned Italian aperitif that followed the nightly’passeggiata’. Therefore, wherever you are in Italy, it is still possible to communicate online with friends and coworkers, embrace’smart functioning’, and enjoy opportunities to meditate at home with a glass of luscious Italian wine!
