Your body is the house of your Spirit. When you live disconnected from your body, you become spiritually homeless. You ignore your physical environment and harm Earth’s body in the procedure. You appreciate mind over body and shed access to the body’s own intellect. As a plant needs roots to survive, so you also need to be grounded in space/time and attached to your body and the environment.

Let’s see…

When you’re grounded, you’re focused and present in the here and now. You make a healing relationship with your body and the Earth. Reconnect with your body through physical activity and awareness of your own feelings. Your own body is the solid form of your own existence as a religious being. Your body has definable boundaries, while your spiritual self doesn’t. Regular massage benefits your body using a pleasurable experience. Regular exercise energizes your body and promotes a sense of connection.

Your body reacts to your every sense. Your emotions and your body are interdependent. A change in your body’s physical action causes a change in your emotional reactions. Likewise a change in your ideas and feelings influences your body’s well-being. When you acknowledge and encourage your body, it can help you stay strong, calm and secure in the midst of life’s challenges. Nurture your body, mind and soul through time spent in nature.

Remember

We are living in an action-oriented world. We stay busy from morning through the night. But so much over action takes its toll. We shed our peaceful center. We forget who we really are. A walk in nature lets you refresh yourself for a short time period. You connect with the rhythms of Earth. Nature’s healing energy has an impact on your state of being. It impacts your disposition, your immune system and the Self you’re becoming.

Science shows that these seemingly magical effects are real. In nature you feel connected to something bigger than yourself. You expand as a human being. You come back to the world refreshed and ready to talk about your gifts. Develop your body’s ability to relax and remain still. Modern life resembles a vortex of overwhelming change. Our current culture values action. In the middle of the whirl of activity, we search for ways to keep a balanced center, regardless of what swirls around us. For millennia yogis have used breathing practices to calm the mind and emotions. Modern science now confirms the link between emotions and breathing.
